Some great news to report and it’s what we’ve all been waiting for. As many of you already know angling has been given the green light to resume once again by the government. The club committee have met (virtually) and drawn up plans for the safe opening of our waters. Following guidelines issued by the angling governing bodies. All waters will open again for angling on Thursday 14th May at 6am.
Please read this post fully and abide by all point below.
Rules you must now follow on any ADAC club water.
SOCIAL DISTANCING MUST BE STRICTLY BE ADHERED TO.
Only fish within a short car journey of your home, travel alone or with someone who resides at the same address. anglers must follow current Government guidance on travel for the benefit of recreational activity.
Fishing should be a minimum of 15m apart. Use every other peg unless they have been marked out as some waters have been.
If a venue is busy please consider using another one.
No keepnets or competition fishing on any club water.
You are to fish alone unless fishing with someone who resides at the same address, no sharing of swims.
No sharing of fishing tackle, bait or other items.
You are encouraged to bring disposable gloves and anti-bacterial hand sanitiser to use when handling, gates, locks and other surfaces that anglers come into contact with.
The first angler on the water may open the lock and leave it off and we then ask that the last angler on the water locks it behind them.
No congregating on carparks or angling banks.
Please park considerately. Anglers are encouraged to park in every other parking space where possible. Where parking spaces aren’t present, anglers are encouraged to leave suitable space (approx. 2m)
River Dane remains closed until June 16th.
Members to Park in official car parks only or where authorised to do so.
No day tickets will be issued for the foreseeable.
Bailiffs will ask to see cards and EA licenses from a safe distance. Please have these open and on the picture page to allow them to see. As this year’s membership books have not yet arrived from the printers last years must be carried 2020/21 membership fees must be paid by June 1st this gives ample grace given on last year’s membership
Anyone displaying symptoms of COVID- 19, or who shares a household with any individual displaying symptoms, should not go fishing and should continue to follow Government advice on isolation.
These measures are subject to change so please keep an eye on social media the website and emails.
Please respect social distancing, anybody breaking rules will be told to leave and simply banned, we have been given the opportunity to fish again so please don’t be the one who spoils it.
